Rathna Nuti, M.D., FAAFP

BOARD CERTIFIED FAMILY MEDICINE & SPORTS MEDICINE

Rathna Nuti, MD is a Primary Care Sports Medicine specialist who is Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. She currently serves as the Assistant Team Physician for the Dallas Stars NHL Hockey Club and Team Physician for the Dallas Stars Ice Girls and Dallas Sidekicks Dancers.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and raised in DFW Metroplex, she graduated from Plano East Senior High School and attended Austin College where she pursued a double major in Biochemistry and Psychology. During her time in college, Dr. Nuti accomplished an Honors Thesis in Psychology, inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Chi, and Psi Chi, and graduated with Summa Cum Laude. She was granted admission into the early acceptance program for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center – School of Medicine in Lubbock.

During her time in medical school, she received the opportunity to become fluent in Spanish by providing medical needs for the Latino-Hispanic community. With a broadened cultural outlook and emphasis in health maintenance of various communities, Dr. Nuti returned to Dallas to train in Family and Community Medicine residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Hospital. During residency, she intensified her interest in Sports Medicine by involving in various sports coverages ranging from World Olympic Gymnastics Academy meets to NHL Dallas Stars. Dr. Nuti was honored a Resident Scholarship by American Medical Society of Sports Medicine as well as Departmental Distinction in Sports Medicine from UTSW.
